Create a Pearson VUE account
Register at pearsonvue.com/omsb and schedule your exam.

Confirm the booking
Pearson emails a booking confirmation within 48 hours with the date and location.

Sit at a centre
At OMSB's National Test Center at Innovation Park Muscat or a Pearson VUE centre abroad. Omani nationals bring a government photo ID; everyone else brings a valid passport.

The OMSB Occupational Classification exams
To work as a healthcare professional in Oman you sit the OMSB Occupational Classification (OC) exam for your title. They are computer-based and help ensure candidates meet OMSB's standards before they practise. OMSB lists these exams: Anesthesia (OEA), Assistant Pharmacists (OEAP), Dermatology (OED), Diagnostic Radiology (OEDR), Dietitians (OEDIET), Emergency Medicine (OEEM), ENT (OEENT), Family Medicine (OEFM), General Dentistry (OEGD), General Surgery (OEGS), General Practitioners (OEGP), Internal Medicine (OEIM), Medical Laboratory Specialists (OEMLS), Nurses - BSN (OEN), Obstetrics and Gynecology (OEOG), Ophthalmology (OEOPTH), Orthodontists (OEORDNT), Orthopedics (OEORTHO), Pediatrics (OEPEDS), Pharmacists (OEP), Physiotherapists (OEPH), Psychiatry (OEPSY).

All OMSB exams are held at the OMSB National Test Center at Innovation Park Muscat and at Pearson VUE centres worldwide. You pay online by credit or debit card; in a few countries, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Lebanon and Nigeria, booking is done in person at the test centre with a cash payment at least two business days before the exam.
Rescheduling is free up to 48 hours before your appointment. Rescheduling later than that may mean losing the exam fee.
Results and attempts
Your score report is emailed within 24 hours. Pearson VUE's OMSB page says there is currently no maximum number of attempts, with retakes governed by OMSB's own policies. A lost score report cannot be reissued, but OMSB will issue a certification letter on request.

Pearson VUE's official OMSB page states there is currently no maximum number of exam attempts; retakes follow OMSB's own policies, so confirm the rule for your exam with OMSB before rebooking.
Results
A score report emailed to your registered address within 24 hours of the exam.
