How to register and book the DCAS exam

Open the DCAS e-service
Apply for a Professional License on the DCAS website.

Complete the form
Upload your documents: photo, criminal record certificate, experience per DCAS's Professional Standards Guide, licence from your country of graduation or DHA, attested qualifications, DataFlow report and your Prometric certificate (medics).

Pay and submit
Pay the application and licence fees. DCAS tells you if anything is incomplete.

Sit the practical test
Medics are assessed in a DCAS practical test - AED 200, or AED 1,000 for urgent processing.

Receive your licence
The professional licence is issued digitally.

Who DCAS licenses
DCAS's Ambulance Regulation Services issue the professional licence that lets you practise in Dubai as an EMT, paramedic, advanced paramedic, air paramedic, marine paramedic, first aid instructor, advanced life support instructor or medical dispatcher. It is a separate licence from DHA's, for emergency medical services.

DCAS asks medics for a Prometric certificate with the application and then assesses them in a DCAS practical test, priced at AED 200 (AED 1,000 for urgent processing). DCAS does not publish a pass mark or an attempt limit on its service page, so confirm both with DCAS before you book.
Documents and fees
Every applicant needs a personal photo, a criminal record certificate and professional experience that meets DCAS's Professional Standards Guide. Medics also need a licence card from their country of graduation or from DHA, attested academic certificates, a DataFlow report, the Prometric certificate, a passport copy with visa, and malpractice insurance for paramedics.
DCAS lists an AED 150 application fee, then licence fees of AED 800 for dispatchers and EMTs, AED 1,300 for paramedics and AED 1,800 for advanced roles, plus AED 10 knowledge and AED 10 innovation fees. Budget the DataFlow report separately with our DataFlow cost calculator.
