FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about healthcare licensing in the GCC. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us.

How long does the licensing process take?

The timeline varies by country and authority. In general, the process takes 2 to 6 months from initial assessment to license issuance. UAE authorities (DHA, DOH) typically take 3 to 4 months, while Saudi Arabia (SCFHS) can take 2 to 5 months. Factors like Dataflow verification speed, exam scheduling, and document completeness all affect the timeline. We work to expedite each stage.

Do I need to take a Prometric exam?

Most GCC health authorities require a Prometric computer-based test (CBT) as part of the licensing process. Each authority has its own exam — a DHA exam is different from a DOH or SCFHS exam. However, some professionals may be exempt based on their qualifications, such as holders of US board certification, UK CCT, or Australian/NZ fellowships. We assess your eligibility for exemptions during the initial consultation.

What is Dataflow verification?

Dataflow Primary Source Verification (PSV) is a mandatory background check required by all GCC health authorities. It independently verifies your educational qualifications, professional experience, and licensure history directly with the issuing institutions. The process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. We handle the entire Dataflow application to ensure accuracy and avoid costly delays from rejected submissions.

Can I apply for multiple licenses at the same time?

Yes, and we recommend it for maximum career flexibility. You can apply for licenses from different GCC authorities simultaneously. For example, many professionals apply for both DHA (Dubai) and DOH (Abu Dhabi) at the same time. Our Dual and Triple License packages offer significant cost savings when applying to multiple authorities. We coordinate the Dataflow and application processes to maximize efficiency.

What documents do I need to get started?

The core documents required for most GCC licensing applications include: a valid passport, primary medical or professional degree certificate, postgraduate qualifications (for specialists), good standing certificate from your current or most recent licensing body, professional experience certificates, and passport-sized photographs. During your free assessment, we provide a complete, authority-specific document checklist tailored to your profile.
