Nurses & Midwives
DHA requires a BSN (4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing) from a recognized institution plus a minimum of 2 years clinical experience. Diploma nurses with extensive experience may qualify under certain conditions. Midwives must hold a recognized midwifery qualification. The nursing Prometric exam covers general and specialty-specific clinical knowledge.
Allied Health Professionals
DHA recognizes over 30 allied health sub-categories including physiotherapists, radiographers, lab technologists, respiratory therapists, and more. Each sub-category has specific qualification and experience requirements. A bachelor-level degree is typically required. Diploma holders may qualify for technician-level roles.
Pharmacists
DHA requires a minimum 5-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized institution. Clinical pharmacists must hold a PharmD or equivalent postgraduate qualification. A minimum of 2 years post-internship experience is required. The pharmacy Prometric exam covers clinical pharmacology, dispensing, and regulations.
