Overview of KSH
King Salman Hospital is a government hospital in the Al-Uraija district of southwest Riyadh. It was built in 1984 (1405H) and inaugurated by King Salman bin Abdulaziz when he was Governor of Riyadh Province. Saudipedia, the Saudi national encyclopedia, reports about 500 beds and more than 1,000 health practitioners as of 2018.
The hospital is part of Riyadh First Health Cluster, the Health Holding Company network that also includes King Saud Medical City. It receives referrals from primary health care centres and other hospitals in Riyadh Province, and it runs 24-hour adult and paediatric emergency services and a cardiac intensive care unit.
King Salman Hospital was the first government health facility in Riyadh Province to run a home health care service. It was also early to digital services, with electronic radiology, pharmacy and laboratory systems used by about 50,000 patients a month according to Saudipedia, and its laboratory holds a Randox International Quality Assessment Scheme (RIQAS) certificate.
The hospital's honours include CBAHI accreditation and the WHO Baby-Friendly Hospital designation, and Saudipedia also lists JCI accreditation. In 2023 Riyadh First Health Cluster opened a Developmental and Behavioural Disorders Centre at the hospital, the first specialised centre of its kind in Riyadh region, for children and adolescents with autism, ADHD, speech and language delay and related conditions. In 2024 SCFHS accredited the hospital's urology training programme.
For healthcare professionals, King Salman Hospital offers broad general hospital experience in a busy part of Riyadh, with growing child development, home care and training programmes. It is a good fit for nurses, midwives, emergency staff and allied health professionals building experience in a Saudi government cluster.

The hospital's home health care, child development centre, emergency and maternity services create demand for nurses, midwives, therapists and physicians. Saudi localisation means many posts prioritise Saudi nationals, with expatriate hiring mainly for experienced and specialist staff.
To work at KSH, healthcare professionals typically need a valid Saudi Arabia license from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Neelim's licensing service handles the entire application process, including Dataflow PSV and Prometric exam registration.
Typical Roles
Hiring Process
King Salman Hospital recruits through Riyadh First Health Cluster (portal.rfhc.gov.sa). Health Holding Company runs cluster-wide recruitment rounds; its February 2026 round advertised 3,150 posts across 20 clusters, with applications through each cluster's own recruitment portal and one cluster per applicant. Saudi nationals also apply through the Jadarat national employment platform, and the Ministry of Health lists its own recruitment portal. Expatriates are usually recruited through cluster or Ministry overseas recruitment and licensed recruitment agencies. Every clinical hire needs Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) registration and classification: you apply on the Mumaris Plus portal, your qualifications and experience go through DataFlow primary source verification, you sit the SCFHS licensure exam for your profession (SMLE, SNLE, SPLE, SDLE and others) at a Prometric centre, and SCFHS classifies you at a grade that sets your title and pay band.
Neelim's career guidance team can help you navigate this process and prepare for interviews.
